VOLUNTEER ROLES

  • Tuesdays 11am-5pm

Kitchen volunteers are essential for creating our weekly meals. They use their volunteer time to sort through and clean produce, prepare foods for cooking and eating, and help maintain a sanitized environment in our community kitchen.

  • Wednesdays 11am-6pm

Our distributors are our frontline workers. Distributors are teams that transport the donated and prepared items directly to our neighbors in multiple neighborhoods. These volunteers connect with neighbors, serving and assisting in stocking our “free store” onsite tables, as well as critically listening to requests and coordinating propane exchange.

  • Sundays 12:00pm-3:30pm

Acquisition is a key role that keeps our team-based days running smoothly. We’ve seen that useful and needed items can come from all over the city, from the weekly market to private homes. Resource gatherers keep our reserves stocked and create a seamless pipeline to us from donors of physical goods.

  • Saturdays 1:00pm-4:00pm

Our stock is constantly rotating - we love to see it! As such, volunteers with a bent for organization maintain our pantry and dry storage and track trends, noting shortages and sorting through new donations.

  • Flexible At-Home Opportunities

As a young, grassroots organization, we are constantly encountering new ways to grow administratively. We need volunteers interested a myriad of tasks from local networking, creating infographics, performing data entry, volunteer coordination, and more.
